Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pre-order?

Yes, we cannot guarantee that we will have a suitable tree available without pre-ordering. We aim to supply freshly-cut trees on your chosen pickup date, to ensure long lasting, healthy looking Christmas trees.

A percentage of pre-order sales goes to Surf Lifesaving Clubs within the North Coast Branch.

Do you have trees available at the farm gate?

We carry a small stock of trees in a variety of sizes, available on a strictly first come, first served basis. We strongly suggest that you take advantage of our pre-order option to avoid disappointment.

Will a tree fit in my car or ute?

Generally our small and medium trees will fit in most passenger cars, even sedans, provided that the rear sets can be folded down. Longer wagons and larger SUVs will generally fit a taller tree, but will require the rear seats to be folded down.

With Utilities, small and medium trees will typically lay flat diagonally across the tray/tub, however large trees may extend beyond the sides, and will need to be tied down.

Be sure to avoid the following:

*placing the tree onto a hot, sun-baked ute tray;

*transporting the tree in the exposed sun, or inside a hot car;

*transporting the tree uncovered with extensive wind-buffeting.

How do I look after my tree?

Please see our separate page on tree care here.

What size tree should I get?

Most typical homes will suit a medium sized tree, however, if you have a larger space or high ceilings, a large or extra-large tree will fit the space best.

Small trees are perfect for a unit, smaller home or an office, where a larger tree would not fit easily.

Consider a potted tree which is a living plant, and can be reused or planted in the ground afterwards.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept card payments online for all pre-orders, and both card and cash at the farm-gate..

Can I pick my specific tree?

For practical reasons, we supply trees wrapped in netting and the next available tree in the type and size is suppled. We are confident that all of our trees are of great quality. As a natural product, there will always be some variation and no two trees are the same.

How long can I expect my tree to last?

Once cut, trees last up-to 4 weeks when properly cared for. it is important to follow our care guide, and ensure that the tree is not exposed to harsh heat or sunlight to get the longest life.

Why are real Christmas trees so expensive?

We understand that a real Christmas tree isn’t cheap, however, it’s important to remember that trees can take up to 6 years before they are ready! With regular cultivating along the way, a lot of effort and time goes into each tree before it becomes the centrepiece of your real christmas.

Where are your trees from?

We source our trees from two main suppliers - one located North of Armidale, and another in the Blue Mountains.

We are currently in the process of planting our own crop of locally grown trees, right here in the Bellingen Valley!

Our pickup site at Waterfall Way was a Christmas Tree farm in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, and we look forward to continuing the legacy here.
