Caring for Your Christmas Tree

A real Christmas tree is the highlight of the season, filling your home with fragrance, colour, and festive spirit. With some simple steps, you can keep it fresh, safe, and beautiful throughout Christmas.

🚗 Transporting Your Tree

• All of our trees come wrapped in netting for easier handling.

• Before collection, check that you have enough space in your vehicle — most trees will fit best if you can fold down the rear seats.

• Lay down an old sheet, towel, or tarp to protect your interior from needles and sap.

• Avoid leaving your tree in a hot car for too long, as heat will cause it to dry out quickly.

✂️ Preparing Before Setup

• Fresh cut: Trim 2–3 cm from the base of the trunk before putting it in water. This allows the tree to absorb moisture more effectively.

• Immediate watering: Place your tree in water as soon as possible after cutting. If you won’t be decorating straight away, store it outside in a cool, shaded spot with the base in a bucket of water.

🎄 Setting Up at Home

• Choose a sturdy stand that can hold both your tree securely and plenty of water.

• We recommend our reusable tree stands, available for purchase — durable, stable, and designed for easy watering.

• Position your tree away from direct heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators, or air-conditioners to prevent it from drying out too quickly.

💧 Watering & Daily Care

• Check daily: A freshly cut tree can drink several litres in the first few days. Keep the stand topped up so the base never dries out.

• Refill as needed: Once the water runs out, the tree may stop taking in moisture altogether.

• For longer life, make a fresh cut at the base every 10 days if possible.

🌲 Keeping Your Tree Fresh

• Plain water works is fine, just ensure to keep it topped up.

• Minimise exposure to heat for maximum freshness.

• Most importantly, enjoy decorating your tree and making it the festive centrepiece of your celebrations. And don’t forget to share your photos with us on social media!

• After Christmas, responsibly dispose of your tree.

• You can return your tree after Christmas for disposal.

• It will be mulched & spread into our paddocks
